The Surgical Process

At Aesthetic Surgery Associates, we are committed to making your surgical experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. The surgical process usually begins with the prospective patient making contact with our office via telephone or email. We can then answer any questions you may have and schedule an appointment time which is convenient for you. At your consultation appointment, you will usually spend one hour in our office. You will begin by filling out paperwork which Dr. Day will use to evaluate your current medical health and address any possible unique concerns.  Dr. Day will then discuss the surgical procedure in which you are interested and answer any questions you may have. There is a $60.00 consultation fee charged by our office for this initial appointment. This fee will be applied to any surgical procedure you may decide to schedule.

After your consultation with Dr. Day, you will meet with our patient coordinator. She will provide you with a personalized quote for your recommended surgical procedure(s). This quote will include any applicable operating room and anesthesia expenses, as well as all additional appointments with our office. She will also discuss acceptable methods of payment with you. These include Visa, Mastercard, Personal Check, Cashiers Check, and Cash. Financing is also available to those who are interested. Once you have decided to proceed with surgery, you may call or come by our office to meet personally with our patient coordinator. Our office requires a $500.00 surgery scheduling deposit which will be applied towards your previously quoted surgery amount. This deposit is non-refundable in the event that surgery is cancelled or rescheduled. At the time of surgery scheduling, we will also schedule you for a pre-operative appointment with our office and with Seton Hospital. This appointment will be within one week of the scheduled surgery date. Sugery payment is due in full three weeks prior to the surgery date.

After your pre-operative appointments, you will simply need to arrive at Seton Hospital on your scheduled surgery date. Surgery is performed in a hospital, under the safest conditions possible for any procedure. Anesthesia is performed by Board Certified Anesthetists and an on-site Board Certified Anesthesiologist. Always insist on a trained anesthesia provider! Once surgery is completed, you will return to our office for follow-up appointments as needed. The times and duration of these appointments are decided by Dr. Day on an individual basis. All follow-up care is done by Dr. Day personally, not a nurse.
